Why Demetra?
Growing up in a family of doctors in Cyprus, I watched my mother do something that no app, no hospital, and no health system does well. She paid attention. She remembered that my uncle's cholesterol was high last year and followed up. She noticed when my grandfather's blood pressure crept up before he did. She caught things early because she cared continuously, not just when someone walked into a clinic.
That's not a medical superpower. It's just what happens when someone who understands medicine also loves you.
The problem is that most people don't have a doctor in the family. And the healthcare system was never designed to fill that gap. It waits for you to get sick, treats you when you do, and sends you home to figure out the rest on your own. Millions of people are walking around with high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, or missed medication needs and nobody is telling them.
I left a career building clinical AI at Stanford and Google because I realized the bottleneck in preventive care isn't data and it isn't technology. It's that nobody is applying clinical reasoning to the data that already exists, proactively, for the people who need it most. Your age, your family history, your last blood test: that's often enough to know what you should be doing. But nobody is connecting those dots for you.
Demetra is a doctor, a mother, and the person her whole family calls when something feels off. Not everyone has a Demetra. Now you do. We built this platform so every family has someone watching over their health with the same knowledge, persistence, and love.
